Easter Seals Ontario Camps are proud to create an environment that fosters autonomy, self-esteem and acceptance for children and youth with physical disabilities. As a result, many campers leave camp not only with new skills and friendships, but also with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Combining participation in a healthy outdoor environment, with constructive activities that offer new challenges and experiences, camp encourages children to grow and prosper physically and mentally. Easter Seals Ontario attracts applicants who want to make a difference in the lives of the campers and who share a common goal: to make the summer a fun, empowering and enriching experience for all of our campers.
Our staff members are the key to our success! With over 73 years of experience, Easter Seals values the dedicated staff members who have helped us to consistently provide our campers with a memorable, quality camping experience.
So what does it take to be Easter Seals Ontario Camp Staff?
A sense of adventure, a desire to be with people, and strong leadership skills. Tolerance and patience is necessary, as well as tons of energy. You will spend your days and evenings with 6 – 19 year olds, doing all kinds of fun and crazy activities. Some campers will be homesick; others are hesitant to try new things, while many are carefree and excited to try anything. Easter Seals Ontario camps gently and patiently challenge the kids to reach their full potential. You will be a role model for the campers and a support person for your peers.
