The camping season is fast approaching. Enrollment this year has been amazing, and many sessions are full or almost full. We’ve hired some great staff to ensure your son or daughter will have a fantastic camp experience.

If you have not applied yet, please complete the online application and submit it as soon as possible.

Please note, all of the Recreational Choices Funding for 2010 has been allocated. Any applications received will be subject to a waitlist.

The 2010 Easter Seals recreation program applications are now accessible online: 2010 Easter Seals recreation program applications

If your child attended an Easter Seals camp program or utilized the Recreational Choices Funding Program last year, an application package was mailed to your home. You should have received the application package in January.

Please mail your completed camp applications with a cheque for the minimum $100.00 payment and ensure that you have SIGNED in the appropriate places. Forward completed signed forms along with payment to:

The High Ropes course

The 2010 camping season is fast approaching. Planning is already well underway for another amazing summer. Along with the traditional residential camp programs, this year Easter Seals Ontario will be introducing a 6-day ‘Out-tripping Adventure Camp’ for youth 12 – 18 years of age. Enjoy the opportunity to learn how to paddle a canoe, sleep in a tent and cook on a camp stove. This program will be offered August 14 – 20, 2010 at Easter Seals Camp Merrywood in Perth.

Through the generosity of our many donors, Easter Seals is able to offer a world-class recreation experience for children and youth who have a physical disability. Easter Seals camps are proud to create an environment, which fosters autonomy and self-esteem. As a result, campers leave camp not only with new skills and friendships but also with a new sense of accomplishment, pride, and independence.

Easter Seals Ontario will again be offering the Recreational Choices Funding Program. Last year over 350 children and youth participated in this exciting program.

We encourage you to return your completed application for your chosen program as soon as possible to help ensure a spot. Applications that are incomplete will be returned to you, resulting in a delay in processing the application. Please remember that no camper will be turned away due to lack of funds.

Easter Seals owns and operates two residential camps with specially trained camp staff, including a team of registered nurses, offering safe but exciting, fully accessible programs at Camp Merrywood and Camp Woodeden. In addition, Easter Seals offers the Recreational Choices Funding Program that allows families the opportunity to choose a summer recreational program that best suits their child.
